Christina von Dwingelo-Lütten was born in Munich in 1991 but has been living and working in Vienna for about 10 years.
While studying architecture at the Technical University, she realized that she wanted to work not only as an architect but also as an artist. Painting allows her to balance the strict formal language of architecture and at the same time to transport her daily experience as well as her emotions to the outside. This freedom is visible in impetuous, dynamic brushstrokes and the spontaneity in the composition of her paintings.
The concept for a painting usually arises only in the creative process, in a contrast between fluid, spontaneous application of paint and the juxtaposition of the distance and close-up effect of a picture. The artist pays special attention to exciting details in the picture, which captivate the viewer and allow them to lose themselves in the interplay of color and form.
