Sabine Rudolph writes about her painting: “It is a painting about coming to terms with the past. Knowing and feeling that a life does not end with death is what engaged me here. The great-grandmother and the grandmother, which I have incorporated into the picture as a collage, show the deep connection with our past, a connection with the people who lived before us, who have shaped our family and me as a person. Very deliberately I have incorporated flowers as symbols of life. The spots indicate how quickly beauty and life fade. It is a picture that should inspire reflection and pause.”
It is a limited edition of only 5 copies. The fine smooth woven fabric of the textile print emphasizes the grace of the face. It is subtly textured with a glossy finish. The print shop uses only textile that is free of harmful substances and has been awarded the internationally recognized Oeko-Tex Standard 100. Through a thermal sublimation process, the colors penetrate completely into the fabric. The reproduction is razor-sharp and brilliant in color. The image is safely protected from edge breakage and splash water. The depth of 4 cm gives the image an object character and makes it special.
